St. Andrew's Pipe Band

The St. Andrew’s Society of Central Illinois Pipes and Drums have been a part of the Springfield community since 1989. The band was created with the primary mission to promote, educate and spread the traditional Celtic culture. In 2003, St. Andrews Pipes and Drums won the United States Open Championship, and in 2004, the band was awarded the top honor of Champion Supreme from the Midwest Pipe Band Association.

We are a Grade 5 competition pipe band registered with the Midwest Pipe Band Association. We compete in several competitions throughout the year, as well as participate in various stand-up and parade performances throughout Central Illinois.

We practice every Thursday at 6:30 pm at First Christian Church, 6th and Cook streets, Springfield, Illinois. Practice is open to the public.
