Who are we?

OUR MISSION: The main purpose of the Saint Andrew's Society of Central Illinois is to promote and spread the Celtic culture through our involvement and contributions in the community and the activities of our units and membership.

Our main units are: Ancient Athletics, Pipes and Drums, Dance, Heritage.
We also host the Springfield Area Highland Games and Celtic Festival each year.

Through the activities and efforts of our devoted membership we help to inform the public about the traditional aspects of Celtic culture through the demonstration of our traditional dance, music, and competitive athletic events.  We are a non-profit organization with a current 501(c)3 status.

The St. Andrew's Society of Central Illinois strives to the fullest extent possible to educate the general public and Society members in Celtic and Celtic-American heritage. SASCI seeks to the best of its ability to continue the traditions such as dress, music, art, history, genealogy and the language arts which make the Celtic and Celtic-American distinct among people and have contributed so greatly to the wealth of humanity.
